Tragic end: alleged suicide of a police officer in Patna

According to reports, in a tragic turn of events, a police officer in Patna took his own life using his service pistol early on Saturday morning.

Constable Ajit Kumar was stationed as an additional sub-inspector in the Bihar capital and lived in the police barracks at Gandhi Maidan. Authorities discovered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Family sources suggest that Kumar was facing stress due to his refusal to go for the upcoming Chhath celebrations. The ongoing investigation includes forensic and family interviews aimed at clarifying the circumstances of the officer’s death.
