In Barry’s accident, two women are dead and one man is in critical condition

As a result of the accident, two women died and two men were taken to hospital, one in a critical condition.

The incident occurred on the A4050 at Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan at around 1.40pm GMT on Saturday, with the road still closed from the junction of Port Road East and Barry Dock Link Road to Pugh’s Garden Center.

South Wales Police confirmed that two women died at the scene and two men are currently in hospital.

Officers said the road would remain closed until 02:00 on Sunday, at least until the investigation was completed, and drivers were advised to avoid the area.

Sergeant Craig Wood said: “Our first thoughts are with the family of the two women who died in this collision.

“We are in the early stages of the investigation and are still trying to establish the full circumstances.”

He appealed to anyone driving through the area between 1.30pm and 1.50pm on Saturday who may have information to contact them.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who can provide us with additional details about how the gray Audi RS 4 was driven before the collision,” he added.
