According to the police, the vehicle was part of a funeral procession that had just left the church of St. Mark’s in Harvey, and a woman driving an SUV had gunshot wounds.

She was transported to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, where she later died from her injuries. Authorities identified her as Rhomesha Turner, 34, of Calumet Park.

Dixmoor Police and Illinois State Police are investigating the incident.
