3 people dead in helicopter crash in Louisiana

Three people died in a helicopter crash in the southeast of the country Louisiana Friday evening, according to authorities.

According to the FAA, a Robinson R44 crashed on a rural street in Iowa, Louisiana around 9 p.m. local time.

According to police, the FAA was called in to investigate and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office will remain on scene until they arrive.

Louisiana Fire Department and State Police are assisting at the scene.
