Chargers are making lineup moves with DJ Chark, Jalen Reagor and others

The Los Angeles Chargers made some significant lineup moves ahead of the team’s Week 9 game against the Cleveland Browns.

The main topic is, of course, the so-called anticipated activation wide receiver DJ Chark. To make room, the team placed winger Brenden Rice on injured reserve.

Elsewhere, the Chargers promoted cornerback Eli Apple and wide receiver Jalen Reagor from the practice squad for the Week 9 game.

Chark, who signed in the offseason following the departures of Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, has yet to prepare to provide the deep threat Justin Herbert needs on offense. He he started the game as an injured substitute and had just a few days left in the 21-day window to rejoin the active squad.

Chark is officially listed as “questionable” on Sunday’s final injury report. However, his activation before it was necessary suggests the team believes it will be able to hold its own against the Browns.
