Police are investigating a sexual assault in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred in Waterloo.

Police reported that on November 2, around 2 a.m., an unknown man suffered sexual violence in the building’s lobby.

The incident reportedly occurred in the area of ​​Sunview Street and University Avenue West.

Police said the woman was walking when she realized a man was following her. She ran into the lobby of the apartment building, where the man chased her and sexually assaulted her. The victim freed himself and the man left the scene.

The woman did not suffer any physical injuries.

The WRPS Special Victims Unit is investigating and wants to talk to the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black man, approximately 20-30 years old, 170 cm tall, with a medium build.
