A 37-year-old man has died following a motorcycle accident in Midland

MIDLAND – A 37-year-old Midland man died at a local hospital today when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on William Street around 4:28 p.m., according to Ontario Provincial Police.

No other vehicles were involved in this accident.

William Street in the area of ​​Gloucester Street and Bayview Drive will remain closed for several hours while investigators complete their examination of the scene and clean up debris.

Members of the OPP’s Technical Traffic Investigation (TTCI) unit assist with this. South Georgian Gulf Detachment officers are investigating the causes of the accident. According to the release, investigators are analyzing all factors that could have caused the accident, including speed, wearing of a helmet and the condition of the driver and motorcycle up to and including the time of the accident.
