HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Two people died in a fiery crash in northeast Houston Saturday evening, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Gonzalez said deputies responded to the scene of a crash in which a vehicle was on fire in the 13200 block of Wallisville.

The services report that four vehicles were involved in the collision.

According to Gonzalez, based on preliminary information, one driver may have driven into oncoming traffic, while the driver of the striking vehicle was taken to the hospital.

Authorities pulled two human bodies from the scene and both were pronounced dead.

According to HCSO, traffic will be diverted to Maxey Road west of the scene and Normandy Road east.
