Teen shot and killed by officer firing in Flint

Genesee County, Mich. (WNEM) – MSP confirms a 17-year-old male was shot and killed Saturday evening in Flint.

The incident occurred on Saturday around 6:30 p.m.

State Police say troopers assigned to the Flint Post were patrolling near Essex St. and Pasadena Ave. and encountered an armed man.

MSP says the man ran away and was then shot.

A loaded gun was found at the scene.

The troopers have been placed on administrative leave and an investigation is ongoing.
