Two children in critical condition, six others hospitalized after crash in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZ family) — Eight people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision in north Phoenix Saturday evening.

The crash occurred near 39th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Six of the injured people were children aged 7 to 15. The other two injured people were adults.

Two children are in critical condition. The remaining six people were also taken to hospital, but their condition is stable.

Details are limited. Phoenix police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Motorists should avoid the area as traffic will be closed in both directions.
