Kannada Filmmaker Guruprasad Dies by Suicide at 52: Report

Guruprasad, popular Kannada filmmaker, has died at the age of 52. According to a report by Asiannet Newsable, his body was found in a decomposed state in his apartment in Madanayakanahalli, Bengaluru. Police found him hanging from a ceiling fan. Neighbors called the police about an unpleasant odor coming from his apartment.

The police are currently investigating the case. The late director made his debut in 2006 with the film “Mata”, which became a huge hit. Most recently, he directed ‘Ranganayaka’ which released on March 8, 2024 and did not do well at the box office.
