It was a difficult ordeal Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will start the season as he has yet to make his debut. Things seem to be getting more difficult for the former MVP after the recent events involving a post-game altercation.

On Saturday night, the Sixers returned to their home stadium to face the Memphis Grizzlies. Embiid did not play in the game, but sat on the bench in city clothes. He was also in the locker room after the game, where he reportedly got into an argument with a reporter.

Just two weeks after the end of the regular season, the league is launching a second investigation into the Sixers and Embiid. The first came last week due to his inactivity in the season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks. Following the conclusion of the investigation, the Sixers were fined $100,000 for inconsistent statements regarding Embiid’s health.

After Embiid won a gold medal and hit a home run for the Sixers in the offseason, many were excited to see the team in action. However, before the opening of the 2024–2025 campaign, they are in a difficult situation.
