Shootings in Chicago this weekend: At least 16 shots, including 2 fatalities, result in shootings across the city, police say

According to Chicago police, two people were shot and killed in downtown on Sunday.

The shooting occurred near Milwaukee Avenue and Kinzie Street in the Fulton River District.

An 18-year-old man said he was in his car when he heard gunshots and felt pain.

Chicago police say the man was shot multiple times. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The second victim, 17, was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He testified that he was leaving the music studio when four criminals, including two armed, approached him and started shooting at him.

Everything indicates that the 17-year-old victim will be healthy.

There is no one in custody. Detectives from CPD’s District 3 are investigating.
