One person was killed and two others injured when a truck overturned after a multi-car collision on the 110 Freeway Saturday evening. All northbound lanes between Manchester Avenue and the 105 are closed for the investigation and cleanup. Connector 110 and 105 are also closed.

History: On Saturday evening at 10:55 p.m., a multi-car accident was reported, resulting in a tanker overturning on its side. The truck was carrying about 8,000 gallons of jet fuel, and the fire department said between 500 and 1,000 gallons spilled onto the road.

Two people injured in the accident suffered minor injuries. According to firefighters, the tanker driver was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle and has not had contact with the Los Angeles Fire Department.

What’s next: According to the fire department, there is no current timetable for reopening the highway as cleanup continues.
