New information prompts the police to appeal for witnesses to the accident

Anyone who witnessed the Oct. 25 crash or had a dash cam operating at or near the scene is asked to contact Saanich police.

Saanich police are appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle collision on the Patricia Bay Highway in late October.

The crash occurred between 4:15 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 25 and involved a gray Volkswagen Rabbit and a brown Jeep Cherokee, both traveling southbound on Highway 17 near the Old East Road exit.

According to the police, both vehicles drove away after the collision.

Police say they are resuming calling witnesses after receiving new information about the accident.
