Pollock died in a single-vehicle accident

POLLOCK, La (KNOE) – Louisiana State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 8 east of Pollock in Grant Parish.

According to LSP, 60-year-old James W. Bennett died in the crash on November 3 around 6:30 a.m.

An LSP investigation revealed that Bennett was traveling west on Highway 8 in a 1992 GMC. Bennett’s vehicle left the road, went down a ditch and hit a tree. It is still unclear what caused the accident.

Louisiana State Police say Bennett was not restrained, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Routine toxicology samples were collected and submitted for analysis.

This crash remains under investigation.
