The victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Berkeley Co. has been identified

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – The Berkeley County coroner has identified the victim in a single car crash.

Emilio R. Hernandez, 22, of St. Stephen, died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

The collision occurred around 6:20 a.m. Saturday on Cainhoy Road near Cedar Hill Lane.

Senior Trooper Gary Miller said a 2002 GMC Denali was traveling west on Cainhoy Road when it ran off the right side of the road, lost control and overturned.

Only the driver was in the vehicle and he died on the spot.
