The BC election reported that some votes were uncounted, others unreported

BC’s Elections Commission says it discovered that a ballot box containing 861 votes was not counted in a recent provincial election, as well as other errors, including the failure to report 14 votes in a key vote that the NDP narrowly won.

The electoral agency says the omission of the ballot box had no impact on Prince George-Mackenzie’s election result, while unreported votes in Surrey-Guildford were detected during preparations for a recount in the constituency where Garry Begg won by 27 votes, giving the NDP a majority of one mandate.

More is coming.
