Guruprasad suicide case: Karnataka police confiscated four mobile phones, two tablets and more from Kannada director’s apartment

The Madanayakanahalli police in Bengaluru have initiated an investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of Kannada director Guruprasad. According to a News 18 report, authorities searched his apartment for potential clues, including a suicide note, but were unable to find them. However, a laptop, two tablets and four mobile phones were found in his apartment.

Investigators on the case have sent evidence to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis. Officials believe the electronic devices may contain incriminating evidence that could help their case.

Any videos recorded on cellphones shortly before his death could provide insight into the circumstances of his death, the report said.

Madanayakanahalli police have made investigation a priority Guruprasad mobile phones. They are currently focusing on analyzing call logs from the last month. According to the report, their goal is to review his call history, message threads and WhatsApp conversations to uncover any patterns that may indicate external pressures or concerns leading to his death. Investigators are particularly interested in identifying any repeated contacts that could suggest undue influence.

Moreover, police officials are also planning to check Guruprasad’s bank account to check his financial situation. This is because his wife Sumitratold investigators that the director was very much in debt due to his film venture.

“There were no signs of an intruder and the door was locked from the inside. “His wife mentioned that he was facing financial difficulties as he had accumulated significant debt due to his film-making ventures, which may have contributed to this,” a senior police officer said, quoting The Indian Express.

Meanwhile, on November 3, Guruprasad was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his home in Karnataka.
