Funeral services for Matthew Rhoden, the officer who died in the accident

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – The Shreveport Police Department and family are mourning the loss and celebrating the life of Officer Mathew Rhoden.

Funeral services for Shreveport Police Department Officer Mathew Rhoden were held on October 25 at 9:30 a.m. at Summer Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

Rhoden was tragically killed in an accident on September 27 when his vehicle collided with a pickup truck on West 70th Street.

At the time of his death, Rhoden was only 37 years old.
