Florida man sentenced to jail after physical altercation outside early voting site

A Florida man is behind bars after a physical altercation at an early voting site Pinellas County over the weekend with the campaign manager of U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla.

Andrew Francis, 32, was arrested Monday night for simple battery, according to Pinellas County Jail records.

On Saturday, Francis allegedly punched a woman in the arm outside the Clearwater County Courthouse, which was one of the first voting sites in the area. FOX 13 Tampa Bay reported.

Although law enforcement has not identified the woman, Luna stated on her campaign Facebook account that the victim is her campaign manager.
