The man accused in the death of an Osage Beach officer was allowed to go to work and church

The man charged in the death of an Osage Beach police officer will be allowed to go to church and work.

Christopher Aaron Bishop Wehmeyer has been released from the Camden County Jail $100,000 bail after the accusation Second degree murder and aggravated escape from arrest or detention resulting in death.

On Aug. 31, officers said Wehmeyer fled when an Osage Beach officer tried to stop him speeding on highway 54.

Another Osage Beach officer, 33 Phylicia Carsonjoined the pursuit, then drove off the road and hit a tree.

Her police car burst into flames.

Carson, mother of six children, died from her injuries.

Wehmeyer has been free since September 23.

The court did impose restrictions on Wehmeyer.

He cannot drive or possess any weapons, must wear a GPS monitor and be under house arrest.

During a preliminary hearing on Friday, October 25, the judge ordered Wehmeyer to go to work and church if he kept his curfew.

He will have to submit his schedule to the court and bond supervisor one week in advance.

Wehmeyer will be arraigned on Wednesday, November 6.
