The sheriff’s office says a missing Alabama teenager died in a crash

Authorities said Friday that a missing 15-year-old Alabama boy, last seen behind the wheel of a truck, was driving a truck early Thursday morning.

Christian Miguel Rojo, 15, was last seen at 1392 County Road 485 in Fort Payne around 5:30 a.m. Thursday driving a gray 2014 Toyota Tacoma.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that Christian died in the crash.

Attempts to reach the DeKalb County coroner were not immediately successful, but still WAFF said the coroner’s office responded to the scene near where Christian was last seen in connection with the death investigation.

The sheriff’s office said it could not provide further details due to the teenager’s age, other than to say the investigation had been turned over to traffic crash investigators with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
