The body was recovered from the Fox River on Friday and identified as a 68-year-old man

APPLETON (NBC 26) – A body was found in the Fox River on Friday, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Just before 11:20 a.m., crews were called to the Fox River near E. Banta Court in the Town of Appleton for reports of a body found in the water.

The body was found and identified as a 68-year-old Appleton man who had previously been reported missing to authorities.

According to the release, no crime is suspected and the investigation is ongoing.
