Update: Names released in connection with double fatal crash at Iron Range shooting range

Two people died Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in St. County. Louis. Authorities said they responded to the 9100 block of Biss Road, west of Britt, Minnesota, on Thursday morning.

They were identified as Frank Ratliff of Angora and Steven Shoden of Virginia.

A witness to the crash said two pickup trucks were traveling in opposite directions along Biss Road when an eastbound truck veered off the shoulder, crossed the median and struck the oncoming truck.

Authorities said Ratliff was traveling eastbound.

According to unofficial information, both drivers died on the spot.

St. County Sheriff’s Office Louis, with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol, is currently investigating the accident.

Organizations responding to the disaster include the St. County Sheriff’s Office. Louis, Pike Fire and Emergency Services, Gilbert Fire Department, Virginia Emergency Medical Services and Life Link Aviation Medical.
