Suspect wanted for allegedly stealing an iPhone during a meeting on Facebook Marketplace – CP24

Police released a photo of a man who allegedly stole an iPhone during a Facebook hangout in Oshawa earlier this month.

The incident took place on the premises Oxford Street and Malaga Road on the evening of October 1.

Durham Police said the suspect met the victim to buy an iPhone 15 advertised on Facebook.

“When the victim gave the suspect his phone to check, the suspect told the victim he would take cash from his car to pay for it. The suspect got into the vehicle, still holding the phone, and fled the area,” he added. – the police said in a press release on Friday.

The suspect is described as a brown male, 20 to 28 years old, five-foot-seven to five-foot-nine tall, medium build, black hair, black beard and glasses.
