Gas station employees injured in attack

Six masked motorcyclists tried to rob a petrol pump attendant, Sonu (28), who was commuting to work via the College Road railway flyover around 10.30pm last night. Because he had no cash on him, the attackers seriously injured him and fled. Today he was admitted to the Civil Hospital for treatment.

City-1 Police said the doctor’s legal report has been received and the statement of the injured youth will be recorded for further action.

The victim said he was returning to his Waryam Nagar residence after working hours at the petrol pump, which is located a few meters away from the police station.

At about 10:30 p.m., when he reached the College Road bridge, there were six masked men on two bicycles. They forcibly stopped his bike and asked for money.

When he explained that he had no cash, the miscreants attacked him, seriously injured him and fled. Somehow he made it home and his family took him to the hospital today.
