Campus Safety released a student report of a sexual assault in Bellarmine Hall

A Bellarmine Hall student reported being sexually assaulted by a Loyola guest on November 17 in Bellarmine Hall. Campus safety announced Loyola Community Report November 18 at 6:20 p.m

Christian Anderson, associate vice president for communications and director of executive communications, said the alleged perpetrator has been identified.

“As stated in the campus notification, a student reported to the Office of the Dean of Students that he was sexually assaulted by a non-Loyola guest on November 17 in Bellarmine Hall,” Anderson wrote in an email to The Phoenix. “The alleged perpetrator has been identified and there is no ongoing threat to safety.”

The incident was not reported to Chicago police, according to a CPD spokesman.
