Kanpur: A 40-year-old woman hanged herself in the Rawatpur police station premises on Friday morning.
After the woman’s body was found, her younger son informed his brother and father on the neighbor’s phone. The police arrived at the scene and sent the body for autopsy. The woman’s brother accused her husband of suicide.
The woman’s son Sallu told the police that his younger brother Fardeen (11) was with his mother Nafisa at home in Shivnagar in Rawatpur area when he left for a leather factory in Fazalganj where he works and his father Nafis left at 7.30 am to go by car. -rickshaw.
At around 9 a.m. Fardeen called him from a neighbor’s house to inform him of his mother’s death.
According to her family, Nafisa was treated for insomnia and breathing problems for two months.
Meanwhile, Nafisa’s brother Chand Babu of Colonel Gammukha’s Hata alleged that Nafis abused his sister and said his niece, who died in a similar manner a few months ago, also faced violence from Nafis.
Rawatpur commander Krishna Kumar Mishra said further action would be taken based on the post-mortem results and investigation findings. tnn
