João Neves gives PSG the lead in stunning fashion

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain took a 1-0 lead over visitors Toulouse in today’s round 12 clash in the French capital.

Looking to overtake in-form Monaco in the table, Luis Enrique’s side finally turned their dominance into something tangible thanks to Portuguese international midfielder João Neves.

The former Benfica man broke the tie in the 35th minute at the Parc des Princes with a fantastic volley from outside the box after Achraf Hakimi spotted him unmarked following a dead-ball situation.

It was Neves’ second Ligue 1 goal of the 2024/25 season since his arrival from Portugal in the summer transfer window, which currently leaves PSG six points clear at the top if this result holds.
