Victim identified in southeast Rochester shooting

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The man who was killed in a shooting in southeast Rochester Thursday night has been identified.

The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Dahir Dahir, a 28-year-old man.

Officers were initially called to the scene near 10th Street and 1st Ave SE around 6:50 p.m. after the shooting.

Although rescuers tried to save Dahir, he died on the spot.

The investigation remains ongoing and Rochester police continue to search for at least one suspect.
