Kanye West sued for sexual assault and strangulation by another American Top Model star

Former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Jenn An is suing Kanye “Ye” West over an alleged incident of sexual assault and strangulation that occurred in 2010 on the set of La Roux’s “In for the Kill” music video. “

The music video was shot “on or about September 7, 2010” in a suite at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City. An claims West chose her as one of his supporting actresses and models, saying, “Give me an Asian girl.” She claims she told the rapper, “I don’t wear much,” to which he replied, “That’s why I chose you.” The suit, obtained and reviewed by TheWrap, indicated she was wearing “only revealing underwear.”

West is said to have ordered the remaining actors and supporting models to leave the series
“(began) filming the sexual assault he allegedly subjected the plaintiff to.”

An said West choked her with both hands, then “stuck several fingers down her throat, continuously thrusting them in and out, and gagged her (which lasted over a minute, according to the plaintiff) to mimic forced oral sex, and then shouted, ” This is art. This is fucking art. I’m like Picasso.”

Interscope and Universal Music Group are also named in the lawsuit filed Friday in New York for allegedly allowing West to “gag plaintiff on the set of a music video without consequence.”

The lawsuit goes on to state that West’s “controversies of gender, hate and slurs were a brand that was too profitable for Defendant Universal Music to intervene, despite his unlawful conduct.”

Citing the rapper’s alleged violations of the New York Gender-Based Violence Act, the model and actress is asking the jury for punitive damages, attorney’s fees and “damages for mental, emotional and physical injuries, anxiety, pain and suffering and damages to reputation.”

The lawsuit also alleges that Universal Music Group and its named affiliates “systematically discriminate against women by continuing to work with artists with well-documented histories of sexual harassment and discrimination” and that both record labels and “other high-profile industry figures” (attempted ) “bury” the incident.”

An, who describes herself in her social media bio as a “feminist who believes in equal rights for all – including my black, disabled, transgender and immigrant/refugee friends,” has appeared since her appearance on ANTM in 2009, notably in standalone episodes of “The Mindy Project”, “Criminal Minds” and “Grey’s Anatomy”.

West, who has faced multiple lawsuits and workplace allegations in recent months, could not be reached for comment on this story. Representatives for Universal Music Group did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
