Live news from Israel’s war in Gaza: Hamas has accused the United States of “direct responsibility” for Israel’s “genocidal war” in Gaza after Washington vetoed a UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes targeted a densely populated area in central Beirut, Lebanon, striking near the parliament, multiple embassies and the United Nations headquarters, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency.
