A 31-year-old man has died in a head-on crash near Worley

Nov. 29 – A 31-year-old Western Washington man died Friday in a head-on crash on State Highway 58 near Worley, Idaho.

According to a press release from the Idaho State Police, shortly before 12:30 a.m. in Aberdeen, Washington, a man was driving a 2000 Honda CR-V west on the highway when he drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country.

Police said the Honda’s sole passenger was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

All four passengers in the Chrysler, including a 20-year-old Spokane Valley woman who was driving, a 22-year-old Spokane Valley woman, an 18-year-old Spokane Valley woman and a 17-year-old Moscow man, were taken by ambulance to local hospital. All four were wearing seat belts.

Traffic was blocked on the highway for approximately 3 1/2 hours.

The ISP continues to investigate.
