Clovis police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured

Clovis, New Mexico (KFDA) – Clovis police are investigating a shooting that injured two people Sunday morning.

According to officials, around 4:15 a.m., dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting that they heard between six and 30 shots fired in the area of ​​Plaza Drive.

The Clovis Police and Fire Department responded to the scene.

Authorities said that upon arrival, officers reported that there had been multiple car accidents on Plaza Drive, involving a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The man was stabilized by medical personnel and transported to Lubbock Area Hospital for treatment.

Police say that at the scene of the incident, officers located many shell casings of various calibers on the road.

Authorities said the second gunshot wound victim, a 24-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the face.

The services report that the woman’s condition is stable, and the man’s condition is currently critical but stable.

The Clovis Police Special Operations Unit is investigating this incident.

According to officials, no arrests have been made yet.
