Police investigating alleged assault outside Welshpool nightclub on 21-year-old ‘stable’ in hospital

Dyfed Powys Police They are asking for witnesses of the incident that took place on Berriew Street, Welshpooljust before 1 a.m. on Sunday.

A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital and an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was later released on bail.

The police appealed to anyone who had any information or witnessed the incident to contact them.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 1am on Sunday, October 27, to reports of an assault in Berriew Street, Welshpool.

“A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital, his condition is stable.

“An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and subsequently released on bail pending further police investigation.

“Anyone with information that could assist officers with their investigation is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police or on the Internetby emailing [email protected] or calling 101.”
