Pune BPO employee dies after colleague attacked her with sharp weapon – Telangana Today

The suspect allegedly attacked a woman’s right elbow with a sharp object in a parking lot after an argument over money lending, police said.

Pune: A 28-year-old woman working at a business process outsourcing (BPO) company in Pune died after her colleague attacked her with a sharp instrument on Tuesday evening, police said. They said the attack took place in the parking lot of WNS, located in the Yerwada district of the city.

The victim was identified as Shubhada Kodare while the accused was Krishna Kanoja, who worked in the accounting department of the company.

“According to preliminary information, the suspect allegedly attacked Kodara on the right elbow with a sharp instrument at around 6 p.m. in the company’s parking lot. It was found that the attack followed a dispute over a money lending issue, Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil said.

The woman was bleeding profusely and was taken to a nearby hospital. However, during treatment, she died as a result of her injuries, he added. Kanoja was arrested and based on a complaint lodged by the deceased woman’s sister, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.
