Trump caught cheating! Fox Insider Allegedly Leaked Town Hall Questions Minutes Before Interview: Report

A new book reveals that during a January town hall in Iowa, someone at Fox News allegedly gave Donald Trump’s team advance access to questions asked by network anchors.
This serious violation of journalistic principles was detailed in the article “Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump’s Return to Power” by Politico national political reporter Alex Isenstadt.
According to CNN, the book, based on more than 300 interviews, internal documents, recordings and extensive reporting, including a trip to Palm Beach and a flight with Trump in June 2023, reveals the intricate ties between Trump and Fox News staff.
Isenstadt reports that in January 2024, despite reservations from some advisers about Fox’s perceived hostile coverage, Trump agreed to attend a town hall meeting of Iowa voters moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.
According to the book, although Trump’s preparation was minimal, his team received text messages with detailed questions and follow-up information about thirty minutes before the broadcast. Planned questions included inquiries about corporate divestitures, the risk of impeachment nominations, denials of political violence and potential plans for retaliation.
“Approximately thirty minutes before the town hall was scheduled to begin, the senior advisor began receiving text messages from an individual working at Fox. Holy crap, the team thought. These were pictures of all the questions that would be asked of Trump and the planned next steps, down to the exact wording. Pool. It was as if the student had glanced at the test before starting it,” Isenstadt writes.
Reports indicate that Trump was dissatisfied with the hearings, which he considered defensive in nature. However, after receiving advance notice, his team prepared an appropriate response.
Fox News said it had no evidence of the incident but would investigate potential network breaches. They also questioned the designation of Baier and Trump as permanent golf partners. The Trump camp, through Steven Cheung, responded by emphasizing Trump’s availability as a candidate without directly addressing the allegations against City Hall.
Isenstadt maintains the accuracy of the account by citing multiple sources with direct knowledge of the events.
