Person of interest in a shoplifting case in Prattville

PRATTVILLE, Alabama (WSFA) – The Prattville Police Department has identified a woman wanted in connection with a shoplifting investigation.

The theft occurred in Belk on Tuesday, December 3. Investigators say the woman stole merchandise worth $536.50.

She was wanted on charges of third-degree theft of property.

Police notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers that they had identified the suspect and issued a warrant. Police say an anonymous tip from CrimeStoppers helped them identify her.

CrimeStoppers says a cash reward will be given to the anonymous tipster.

Authorities have not released the name of the suspect.
