Masked attackers hack four men in a machete attack at a Nilai restaurant

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 — In a brutal attack in Nilai, four men were injured after a group of masked assailants with machetes struck at a local restaurant last night.

Haryana Metro said today that the incident occurred at 9:40 p.m. when five masked men, believed to be locals, were seen entering a vehicle, then pulling up outside the premises and charging at a group of men drinking drinks.

Nilai District Police Commander, Superintendent Abdul Malik Hasim, confirmed that all the victims sustained injuries in the attack and were subsequently transported to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital (HTJ) in Seremban for medical attention.

“We were informed about the incident by the public who reported that four local men aged between 44 and 59 were attacked,” he said today.

“The incident occurred while the victims were in the restaurant.”

Malik added that the victims’ condition was stable and assured that the police were investigating the incident.

“The motive for the attack is still under investigation,” he added.

“The case is being investigated pursuant to Art. 148 of the Penal Code regarding riots with the use of weapons and Art. 326 of the Penal Code regarding causing serious harm with the intention to use a weapon.
