Beaufort man wanted for armed robbery

CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Deputies in an East Carolina county are looking for a man suspected of armed robbery.

The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office says Adian Johnson of Beaufort pistol-whipped another man in the Merrimon area around 5 p.m. Thursday after an argument at a local business.

Deputies say Johnson fled in a white car and was possibly with Misty Jones, also of Beaufort.

Deputies say Johnson has outstanding charges in connection with the assault.
