PAC Jawan commits suicide at UP Bhawan in Delhi, investigation underway – India TV

A police officer allegedly shot himself with his service weapon at the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday. According to preliminary investigation, the jawan belonged to the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) of the Uttar Pradesh Police and was attached to the UP Bhawan security team.

The investigation is ongoing and police are trying to find the reason for this extreme step. An FIR has been lodged and Delhi Police is investigating.

CISF jawan committed suicide

Earlier this month, a 32-year-old Jawan of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) committed suicide with his service weapon at Surat International Airport. According to police, CISF personnel Kisan Singh committed suicide in the airport toilet around 2.10 p.m.

The deceased, identified as Kishan Singh, joined CISF in 2015 as an assistant sub-inspector. He was promoted to the post of sub-inspector in 2022. He served at Surat airport for the last year. Earlier, he was posted at Mumbai airport.

Dumas Police Station Inspector NV Bharwad said he shot himself in the stomach. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
