Cyclist hit by car in Birmingham ‘family fitness fanatic’

Tributes have been paid to Donell Goodall, the cyclist who died in a hit and run.

The 25-year-old was hit by a car on Brandwood Park Road in Birmingham on the evening of January 3. He died in hospital a few days later.

“Donell was a family man and for him it was all about his son, who was just three years old,” the family said.

West Midlands Police believe a silver BMW was involved in the accident and the driver failed to stop at the scene. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and later released on bail.
