A man has died after a shooting in West Phoenix

PHOENIX – One person was killed in a shooting in west Phoenix on Friday morning.

The shooting occurred on January 10 around 12:20 p.m 51st Avenue and Thomas Road.

Phoenix Police say officers responded to the scene and found a man shot. The man was taken to hospital, where he later died. He has not been identified.

“Detectives arrived at the scene to begin an investigation,” he added. Police he said. “Investigations at the scene continue as the area remains closed.”

Police did not provide any information about a possible suspect.
