Accused of rape, detained in IoM custody

The 28-year-old allegedly committed the crime earlier this year

A man accused of rape is in prison on the Isle of Man.

A 28-year-old man whose identity is not possible due to, among others, anonymity laws introduced by Manx politicians last yearhe allegedly committed the crime on January 2.

The transfer proceedings – where the case is transferred to the General Court for Criminal Penalties – will take place on March 6.

No bail application was made.
