Miyapur police arrest three people for murder

Hyderabad: Miyapur police on Friday arrested three people in connection with the alleged murder of a 40-year-old man whose body was found near Hafeezpet railway station on Sunday. The victim was from Maharashtra. Police are expected to announce details of the arrest on Saturday.

A software engineer dies after slipping in the toilet of a Miyapur hostel

Hyderabad:On Thursday morning, a 40-year-old software engineer working towards computer science died after slipping in the toilet of his hostel in Miyapur. Miyapur Sub-Inspector Narasimhulu said the victim, Srikanth, was under the influence of alcohol and was suffering from epileptic seizures which led to his fall. His body was noticed by a sweeper who called the shelter keeper. They called the police, who began an investigation.

Truck driver arrested in connection with fatal accident near Medchal check post

Hyderabad:The Medchal police on Friday arrested a truck driver for causing the death of three family members near a Medchal check post on Sunday. Inspector A. Satyanarayana said the driver, Sahabu (32) from Mevat, Haryana, was remanded into custody.

On January 5, a family of four was cycling to Yellampet to meet a friend. At around 4 p.m., Sahabu, who was allegedly driving a truck rashly, hit a bicycle and the family was hit. Three of them died on the spot and the four-year-old is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Medchal.

Hayatnagar police arrest eight traders, seized 6 kg Ganja

Hyderabad:Hayatnagar police arrested eight traders and seized 6 kg of ganja from them. Police arrested Nayini Shyam and his associates when they sold five 100-gram packs of ganja to consumers near a school in Hayatnagar.

The other accused were identified as Kandukuri Chandu, Bura Rajesh Kumar, Chitram Uday Kumar, Dasaramoni Raghavender, Jogu Varun Kumar, Gudimalla Mahesh and Marri Akhil Raj.
