Police say Brandon Roehrig of Glen Cove was killed in a crash in Riverhead

A Glen Cove man driving in Riverhead crashed into a retaining wall Thursday afternoon and died, according to city police.

The man, 41-year-old Brandon Roehrig, was driving a black Mini Cooper in the rear parking lot of 1761 Old Country Rd around 2:45 p.m. “at high speed,” we read in the police report.

The statement said the crash was not criminal in nature and provided no further details.
