Conliga stabbing: Murder arrest attempted after man injured in County Down

Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Conlig, County Down, earlier this week.

Police were called to a serious assault in Breezemount Close just after 0800 GMT on Tuesday, and the injured man was later taken to hospital for treatment.

On Friday, a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 34-year-old woman was also detained on suspicion of helping criminals. Both were found at an address in Bangor and remain in custody.
