Hunt three men wearing balaclavas after a teenager was seriously injured in Bath Street, Portobello

Police are looking for three men after a seriously injured teenager was found in Edinburgh.

An 18-year-old man was found at around 6.40pm on Friday evening in Bath Street, Portobello.

Emergency services attended the scene and the teenager was taken to the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, where his injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.

The officers are now establishing the identity and trail of three men who were probably involved in the incident.

Two of them were described as tall, slim, wearing dark clothes, wearing black balaclavas and riding dark electric bicycles.

The third is described as having a stocky build and blond hair.

Inspector Dougal Begg said: “We are continuing to investigate to establish the full circumstances and a police presence will remain at the scene.

“We believe this was a targeted attack and are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have information that could help to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV footage to get in touch.”
