Cyclist seriously injured after being hit at the scene in Bournemouth

A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run near a roundabout.

Dorset Police said it received a report of a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle on Castle Lane West, near the Broadway roundabout in Bournemouth, at 22:15 GMT on Friday.

The 20-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment and his family was informed, while the other vehicle did not stop at the scene.

Sergeant Lee Savage said anyone with any information or dashcam footage was asked to contact police.
